FOUNDER STRATEGY RETREAT
IN TALLINN.

An executive strategy workshop for founders and leadership teams who want their model attacked before the market does it for them. Two to three days in Tallinn — or wherever you want the room — running the DISTURBFIRST self-disruption method: expose, attack, rebuild.

  • ✓ Forensic teardown of your business model
  • ✓ Red-team attack by your own executives
  • ✓ Three funded bets, with kill criteria
  • ✓ A 90-day plan with named owners

THE SELF-DISRUPTION METHOD.

Most leadership offsites are a change of scenery with the same conversation. A day of frameworks, a dinner, a deck nobody opens in March.

This retreat runs the other way round. Before anyone defends the roadmap, the team has to build the strongest possible case that the business fails — who kills it, how, and how fast. Only then do we rebuild. The plan that comes out has survived the attack your competitors would have run for you.

Every engagement is custom. We interview your leadership beforehand, use your real numbers, and put the uncomfortable ones on the wall.

THE AGENDA.

Two days is the core retreat. The third day turns the decisions into an operating plan. Timings flex; the sequence does not.

DAY 1

EXPOSE

  • Pre-retreat interviews with the leadership team, surfaced anonymously in the room
  • Forensic teardown of the business model: where the money actually comes from
  • Assumption audit — every belief the plan depends on, written on the wall
  • Mock obituary: how this company dies in three years, told in detail
DAY 2

ATTACK

  • Red-team session: each executive argues the case for a competitor killing you
  • Hostile customer input — the objections nobody puts in the board deck
  • Kill list: initiatives, segments, and features that stop this quarter
  • The three bets that would change the trajectory if they landed
DAY 3 (OPTIONAL)

REBUILD

  • Rebuilt operating model and a 90-day plan with named owners
  • Success and kill criteria for every surviving bet
  • Communication plan: how this lands with the board and the wider team
  • Follow-up cadence — a check-in at 30, 60 and 90 days

WHY TALLINN?

Reachable. Two to three hours from most European hubs, with direct connections through Helsinki, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Riga.

Relevant. Estonia built e-residency, digital government and a fintech density per capita that larger markets still study. The context is part of the content — we can put your team in front of operators who shipped it.

Efficient. Venue, food and accommodation cost materially less than London, Zurich or Stockholm for the same standard, so the budget goes into the work.

Or not Tallinn at all. We run the same retreat at your venue anywhere in Europe if distance from the office matters more than the ecosystem.

THE RETURN FOR FOUNDERS.

01

DECISIONS, NOT DECKS

You leave with written decisions and owners, not a summary slide. Bets that had been debated for two quarters get closed in two days.

02

COST AVOIDED

Every retreat kills at least one funded initiative that was quietly failing. That alone typically pays for the engagement several times over.

03

AN ALIGNED TOP TEAM

Disagreement gets surfaced and settled in the room instead of leaking into the next six months of execution.

04

A 90-DAY PLAN THAT HOLDS

Three bets, clear kill criteria, and a review rhythm — so the retreat still shapes behaviour a quarter later.

QUESTIONS?

The ones founders actually ask first.

An off-site, high-intensity working session where a founding or executive team steps out of delivery mode to test the assumptions the whole business rests on. Ours is not a facilitated brainstorm — it is a structured teardown followed by a rebuild, with written decisions at the end of each day.
